Srina teaches a classical form of hatha yoga to all levels with emphasis on breathing,
yoga postures, and relaxation. Themes are explored such as the link
between asana (yoga posture) and breath, posture and alignment, and
Classes typically offer 90 minutes of balanced yoga practice. Starting
with breathing exercises (known as pranayama), students are then
introduced step-by-step, to an invigorating blend of flowing sequences to
warm up the body and mind, followed by various asanas held for 1-2
minutes each. Ending with 10-15 minutes of guided relaxation.
Each session is designed to leave participants feeling both relaxed and
energized. The combination of asanas aim to stretch and strengthen the
muscles, balance the internal systems of the body (such as the digestive
and nervous systems), support a healthy back, reduce stress, and promote
overall health and wellbeing. Individual needs and goals are also
considered and incorporated wherever possible.
Srina studied for her qualification with Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre,
and her teaching style is influenced by the spirit of the Sivananda
tradition. She is also a member of the Yoga Alliance (RYT 200).

Elaine has now been teaching for more than twenty years. Yoga has been an invaluable tool for her- maintaining a sense of wellbeing, physically, mentally and emotionally. In 1994 she qualified as a teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga and has since gone on to do further training. Elaine's approach to asana has been influenced by working with well respected teachers , Peter Blackaby and John Stirk who draw on their knowledge from osteopathy, to encourage practice that focuses on the natural alignment of the body. Utilizing the role of the breath to create movement and release tension is also key in refining awareness and promoting a sense of well- being. Elaine teaches a wide variety of classes and also offers one to ones or very small groups - this can really give the opportunity to tailor the practice to individual needs. As a Diploma course tutor with the British Wheel of Yoga for more than ten years , Elaine enjoys nurturing students as well as promoting the skills and knowledge necessary to gain the teaching qualification.
Jonathan teaches mindfulness meditation and yoga classes at the
Tree Room. Both classes are centred around exploring one's own wisdom through
developing awareness and self-compassion. Mindfulness meditation is a wonderful
way to practise present moment awareness; to gently focus and guide awareness
back over and over, as it drifts in a busy mind to the past or to the future.
In this way mindfulness promotes a sense of peacefulness and ease without the
need to try to be peaceful. Jonathan's yoga
classes are based on classical yoga with other influences including
self-shiatsu, womb yoga and Buteyko breathing. Each individual is encouraged to
listen to their own needs and practise with compassion; to find the point
between effort and effortlessness; and to enjoy the progress which is available
Both classes are available for complete beginners and
experienced yogis alike. Jonathan is passionate about sharing the message that
yoga is for any body; and that with practise flexibility and strength naturally
increases over time.

Her classes explore breath awareness incorporated with slow, held postures to strengthen the body-mind connection. Classes are well-suited to those new to yoga or anyone looking to relax and unwind. Foundational postures are explored to establish a yoga practice that renews both body and mind.
